Default Parking outside

I am looking at getting a 2014 Raptor loaded with all options. I know that it depends on your neighborhood but wondering how many of you raptor owners park it in your driveway overnight or leave it there when away for over a week? Does this truck tend to get stolen often considering the high demand and people know they cost $50k+?

I'm sure they aren't anymore vulnerable than any other truck. If they know you have it and they want it, doesn't matter if you have it in the street, driveway, garage, or locked storage building they will get it.

I said $50+K. And it does go down once you drive it off the lot. A fully loaded on ford website is around $58-59k. I figure I might pay sticker unless I go out of state but I am not going to pay some dealer markup. Besides, my post is not about what they cost, we know roughly what that will be, it was merely asking to existing raptor owners if they park it in the driveway and for extended periods of time or not.

My truck stays parked under my car port at night and I don't worry about it any more than my wife's car. And the mods on my truck are worth more than her car. It doesn't matter where you live if they want it they will get it!

Mine stays outside 24/7/365. Doesn't fit in the garage, and even if it did, my HD stays in the garage.

Kind of scary to think we've got 100k sitting right in the driveway between the 2012 Raptor and the 2013 Explorer Sport, but not much we can really do about it. Don't be stupid with leaving stuff in the truck, lock your doors, and have insurance, that's about all you can do. I certainly wasn't letting worrying about the truck staying outside keep me from driving the truck I wanted! Life's too short! Hope nothing ever happens to it, but if something does, that's what insurance is for.

I wouldn't let theft effect your decision in getting a raptor or not. I'm just assuming but if you can afford a 60k truck you probably live in a relatively safe neighborhood. Also a raptor or any truck really is harder to steal and take to a chop shop and sell parts off of than say a Honda civic. You just got to keep it locked and have insurance. If your still really worried install a camera on your house and viper alarm system on truck.

mine stays garaged all the time. I'd rather not have my spare tire stolen, wheels or shocks for that matter.

Unless they can get a hold of a factory key the only way to steal it is to drag it up on a flatbed.

This didn't affect my decision, I was merely curious if Raptor's were a higher target for thieves.

I am upgrading the Ford security system and with that included already have over $5k in mods planned in about 3 months.

Hope to get it next month, ordered in November.
