Default Bugsheild / Hood Deflector Pics?

I had an AVS Bugsheild in matte black on my 17' Lariat and really liked it's look. Though not sure if I want a smoke or matte Deflector. I know I want one similar that matchs the lines of the hood. The kind that attaches with 3M tape.

Anyone have suggestions and or pics of one your Raptor?

I decided to try out the Lund (#355127) Black Aeroskin Textured Hood Shield. Should arrive Thursday and will post pics and thoughts once I get it. Hoping the texture and color matches the trucks other trim.

I received the Lund textured deflector yesterday and got it installed. I think it looks great! Way better than the AVS I had on the Lariat. Maybe a little shinier than stock trim, but very close match.

Agreed. Looks nice. How does it attach? There's another thread about deflectors and attaching is a point of discussion.

It attaches with 3M tape. I've read others using the AVS having issue with adhesion. I've never had those issues, but proper prep is key.
Wash or use glass cleaner.
Use alcohol on entire area (I use denatured)
Apply 3M adhesive promoter (this is key) - it really secures the bond. They're about $2 a pack at local auto store. I always use this stuff for any badges or trim pieces. Highly recommend and it takes all of a couple minutes to do the prep.

That does look really good. Where does the tape go, on the hood or underside? If on the hood, no worry about in the future it affecting the paint? Especially when and if removing it?

The tape does secure directly on the hood. I can't see any reason I would remove other than to replace if needed. Never had issues with the paint removing one in the past. Just use fishing line, clean and polish. I personally like the stream line look of these, better than the bolt on ones.

Alternatively, a person could get a clear bra if they're concerned about removal.
