does any one know where i could get a new or remanufactured v8 5.4 liter engine for my 97 f150 that currrently has a v8 4.6l engine, i want to upgrade before going off the edge and getting the edge and also does anyone know if the edge would be able to tune the computer to the 5.4 or do i have to get it done professionally and also would i have to get a new tranny and rear differential or no not really





ps does anyone know where i can buy a new or used tailgate for some what cheap a tree ran into mine

I dont now about the motor swap but as far as the edge goes i would go custom tunes, and you know where to go for those.

you could buy a 5.4 motor from ford, or go to a junkyard and find onw with low miles cheeper, nd you could get it with the tranny, and pcm also.

If I got the engine from a junkyard i would get it rebuilt and bore it out and stuff to make it "like new" and also I dont want to sound like a newb but what is the pcm i am leaning towards a control module but wwhitch one

the pcm is the power control moduel (pcm). but if you want to go bigger engine, i would go with a rebuilt 5.4, IMO.

if I was swappinbg the motor in my truck, I would look for a lightning motor...

no messing around there....

there in lying the reason I want a 5.4 but I have alwasy heard that the superchargert on it is not that great and also I want the super charger that looks like a turbo
