if you post pics of your truck motor i can tell you. i have a 92 stang. as far as the motor goes, i know they are different internally but not sure if the pulley system in the trucks is different from the same year truck motor. if the pulley arrangement is the same as the stangs, you dont need an idler pulley. if you reroute the belt, you can bypass the smog pump without a pulley. you just need a new belt

Default well

i dont have a digital camera but depending on were your idler pully is or belt tensoiner is positioned on your block i can tell the difference my belt tensioner comes on to the left of the block between the alternator and the smog pump i tried bypassing it but the way it is spaced the belt size comes between a 91 in and a 91 1/8 and the dont make a 16/th inch belt only in eigths of a inch so either it wouldnt fit or it was to long and it wasnt putting enough tension on the belt they make a pulley kit that eliminates the smog pump but can still run the factory sized belt i am aloso goin to bypass the ac that way do u have any pics of your mustang i could look at

Call a parts store and see if they list the same pump for both vehicles. If they are the same pump then its safe to say the mustang pulley will work on the truck as well.
