an old timer that owns a local mod shop says K&N filters suck. his quote "K&N's are junk, they'll keep out dogs and little children, thats about it, your best bet is a Napa Gold filter, still great flow, but actually does its job as a filter"
also, i just read recently that the only aftermarket intake that actually pulls in "cold air" is Troyer Performance's intakes, along with the Gotts mod.
just what ive heard, thought maybe someone else has heard something similar?

What kinda vehicles does this old timer have, whats done to them?
Now the C.Air part might be somewhat true, but valont also pretty good, especially if you have extensions going to like the front of your bumper. but if your forced induction, you could actually collapse the filter from not breathing enough for you.
I've had cotton filters from day 1 and will I run a napa gold over one, No!

K&N All the Way!
I recently put a K&N CAI on my 99' F150.... I'm telling you.. save your money and buy the real. It looks way better than gotts or pvc and the performance and durability is 10x better. I love the sound and added power!!! THANKS K&N
