Default '89 302 Engine is missing

I have replaced plugs, wires dist. cap & rotor but still i have a problem. I pulled the plug wires off and it seems to have a dead cylinder. I know it is getting fire because it knocked the **** out of me (LOL) so i am thinking it maybe the injector. It seems to idle fine but not flawless, when you rev it up it runs rough. Traveling you can tell there is a problem especially when you climb a small hill and when the engine lugs down before shifting to a lower gear it causes the whole truck to shake and it seems that the engine is out of balance. Does that sound like an injector or something else. If injector then how hard is it for a slightly experienced and motivated wana be mechanic like myself to fix this problem. I have ran some very strong injector cleaner through on just 2 or 3 gallons of gas with no improvement. I will very much appreciate all the help i can get. Thanks Guy's.

First check the timing . what you describe are timing symptoms .
also try to listen for the injector ticking . get maybe a long enough socket extension or wood dowel and place it on the injector and place your ear to the other end . listen / feel for the tick /vibration .
** consider the motor mounts .
look closely at the harmonic balancer . just an idea . mine had begun to wobble and caught it in time .
maybe you mistakenly routed the plug wires wrong . that is easy mistake to make . didi you gap correctly .
check for arcing wires or ** coil ; best done in the dark .
keep me posted .

I didn't have the correct equipment to check pressure on the cylinders or injectors so i took it to a shop and they said it was a bad injector & something to do with the throttle body so as much as i like to do things myself i thought i would let them do it. I will let you know of the outcome when i am able to get this done . Thankyou for your help.
