The first time I used a Felpro gasket was on a 1953 Ford Customline two door sedan. Of all of the cars I once had this one and a 1956 Ford Crestline two door sedan are the two I wish I still had, especially the '53. The '53 had the redoubtable 239 CID Flathead V8, three speed with overdrive. The engine sound was nothing less then glorious! What I could do with this car today. The 1-4 cylinder bank blew a head gasket. This is the first big job I did on a car back in 1970. Of course a flathead engine is a piece of cake to change a head gasket but at the time I was 17 years old. I used a Felpro head gasket because it was recommended to me by an hotrodder who lived up the street from me. I have used no other brand of gasket since that time.
