Tire choices for stock 20s with 2" drop?
GM, asked this in general forum, hoping the lowered crowd can provide feedback, pics, Thx:
Will soon be needing new tires for the 14 SCREW 2WD, looking for some suggestions to replace the stock 275/55/20 the truck came with.
I have a 2" shackle drop in rear, would like to get something that would have a wider stance and/or fill up wheel well some more.
Ive seen some post with folks having:
285/50/20
305/55/20 (Member shared there is slight rub at full lock)
305/50/20
275/60/20
Don't want any issues with rubbing etc, and would love to know what you guys are running and if it fits the bill to fill wheel well or lowered look.
Would appreciate any pictures you can load to see what tire choices look like on stock ride (with a 2" lower rear) and any issues you've had...
Thx.

I think a 305/50 (32x12.4 actual size) street tire would be a good look for you. The Cooper Discoverer HT Plus is a solid tire and can be had for around $150 each. The Nitto NT420S is also a popular choice.
Assuming you don't want all terrain tires, you'll want to stick with the 32" height. Options get very limited to non-existent otherwise.
Going taller than 32" and over 275 width forces you into a LT rated tire with a few rare (expensive) exceptions.
Chekh out the gallery on Custom Offsets' site for pics of tires.

So a 305/50 would be wider than stock but also shorter?

Stock 275/55 is 32x11". 305/50s are typically 32x12.4".
