By the angle of the lower A-Arm and upper ball-joint.
I would say it would have been lowered with spring...but those look like the stock one.

The spindle looks stock..but we don't see it clearly. (the upper ball-joint doesn't get that much angle when lowered with spindle)

Maybe it have been lowered redneck style by cutting the spring :|

Thanks for taking a look guys. Ive had lowered trucks before, but with the way it rides, it wouldn't surprise me if the springs were cut or heaven forbid.. were heated..

Anyway heres hopefully a better pic of the spindle. Belltech is the only company who makes a drop spindle right? I looked at the pics of Belltechs spindles on their website and mine looks stock compared to that but you guys would know better than I.

Anyway thanks again for the help and its looking more and more like I need to pick up a stock set of springs and some A-Arms.

Your almost bottomed out at ride hieght. Thats whats causing the rough ride. You need to swap out those springs. The "bumpstop" is the shock.

It just strange to me that the spring has undercoating on it...

You could change out the bump stop to one of the softer ones that will help.. and that does look like the stock spindle.

Thats good to know. I figured there had to be a bumpstop somewhere but couldnt find it. Think the Belltech lowering struts would be a good alternative or should I just stick with new control arms?

I thought that was strange too. Do you know of anyplace that sells a different bumpstop?

Thanks again guys I appreciate the help!

the spring could be cut - who knows, it looks short. but its obvious by the angle of the bj's and control arms that the suspension is sitting WAY too low in its travel. those springs have gotta go to get the ride back, no question about it.

I would go with stock springs/struts and get lowering spindles. this is really the only way to keep the ride stock and still lowered.
