Default Need help with visual identification of 2009 - 2014 DJM Calmax lower control arms

Hi guys,

I came across a set of DJM lower control arms off a 2013 FX4 that were priced too cheap to pass up. The seller took them off a truck he bought and didn't have any info on them or any pics of ride height when they were installed so I can't tell if they are the 2" drop or the 3" drop. I reached out to DJM and provided a crappy photo I had received from the seller and they thought they were a 2.5" drop control arm but I don't think they ever offered the newer ford control arms in a 2.5" drop.
I've scoured the web for any comparison photos but have come up empty handed and was hoping someone with more experience than myself could chime in. If they are 3" I'll probably sell them as I don't want to sit that low but if they are the 2" they are going on my 2013 XLT 4x4 along with a drop shackle and block removal for a 2/3 drop.
I would have preferred to buy new and avoid all the trouble but dont have the funds so I'm compiling the ecoboost that Craigslist built.
If some different pics are needed please let me know and I appreciate the help.

this isn't an exact answer to your question however I believe djm says 3" drop arms aren't intended for 4wd. In that case since they were on a 4wd, chances are they are a 2 inch drop.

I would also perhaps buy a bushing kit for them

Good point. I also saw that the 3" kit isn't recommended for 4x4 but from what I've seen while lurking a fair number of people install 3/5 drops on 4x4's.

I think they're probably 2" drops but was hoping for a more solid answer before I spend the money and time to install.
If I keep them they will definitely be getting new ball joints and bushing before they go on.

I’d throw them on. If they wind up being 3” just throw a 1” spacer on top and turn it into a 2” drop.
