Call me stupid but I'm doin it. I'm not a rich man and this is my first truck which also happens to be a 2wd. There is no better reason.

First purchase was $38 drop shackles to level it out:

I cut the front springs and drilled the factory leaf spring hangers. However I did opt for replacing the shocks all the way around with belltech nitro2 drop shocks. I picked them up online for $148 shipped. I did have to also cut two small rectangles in my bed to accommodate to shackles- they hit pretty good. Oh well I'll put a box over each one and rhino line the whole thing.

I remember back a few 20+ years ago, people would just heat up their springs until it sagged where they wanted it. lol

My 77yr old father in law said if they wanted deep dish rims on their hot rods they would just flip them around and install them reversed, lol.

Ok so the rear ended up being more like a 3.5" drop. Any ideas to get 3/4 to 1" more out of the rear? I have thought about removing the overload spring but I have mixed feelings about it. I don't want to lose the ability to haul/tow even thought I really don't now. I have modified hangers for 2" drop and 1-2" shackles in the rear. Maxed out. Does anyone know for certain how much a flip kit nets? I could undo everything and go that route... Please advise!!
