Default Load on a 3/5 drop kit

Hi there Guy,

I have a 2020 reg cab, and I am planning to install the IHC 3/5 ride quality kit while keeping the stock tire setup.
I am not sure whether I should get some bags or not.
Occasionally, I carry some car parts or picnic equipment, max 200 kg / 450 lb.
Anyone with a 3/5 setup, do you guys have any issues with minor loads like that.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum...without the bags you will more than likely bottom out on the frame with any load.

I rarely ever hit ,but I did whined up putting bags in because I tow a bass boat and with that only 10 lbs of air is plenty and then i only hit if i had a passenger ,if looking at bags I went with b woody performance there pricey but there the real deal
anyway you won't hit much without I've been 8 years now and I can't remember last time I hit frame if I hit its usually the fender lips but that because of the offset wheel with the stock set up there won't be a problem
give it a try you can add bags later

What drop / setup are you running?

Edit: Haha...that's what I thought.

I have a Belltech 3/5 and without bags I’d be bottoming out with any added weight. I definitely wouldn’t do the drop without bags.

I have the IHC 3/5 quality ride kit. I also have their helper bags along with an Airlift Wireless One onboard air compressor. This setup is a game changer.

When carrying a load, I can adjust the bag pressure on the fly. No need to hunt down air at a gas station. Also, having a Bluetooth controller made the installation super easy. No need to run any wires into the cab.

In the pics below, you will see about 800lbs of mulch in the bed. With 50psi in the bags, the truck stayed perfectly level and didn’t bottom out at all. The other pic will show you where the compressor is mounted to the passenger frame rail.

X2 on the bag setup. Five years in and going strong.
