Issues with alignment after Belltech install
Good morning Guys. Sorry for the delay but life has been busy with the kid and work. I finished installing the grille, doing the CCB and the Roush exhaust last night about 9:45 so after a quick removal of the decals ("Sport" and dealership locations) and a wash, I will be sure to post a pic.
The bad part is, when I called Belltech's tech help number and brought up the issue, they said "well, you just have to rig it up to make it work". What a POS company!
CAUTION!!!!!
For those out there looking to install the Belltech 1000SP kit. The kit tells you to remove the CCB from its original bracket, drill through the crossmember, remove/cut off the original bracket, grind smooth, bolt back up and tighten to 50ftlbs. Be advised that this is impossible to do without using some sort of spacer inside of the crossmember! You will collapse the crossmember well before you even come close to torque specs. I will try and post up the pics and parts I used to keep the crossmember from collapsing. The parts were cheap and easily found at Lowes or Home Depot. The bad part is, when I called Belltech's tech help number and brought up the issue, they said "well, you just have to rig it up to make it work". What a POS company!
This is the Belltech 1000SP 3/5 drop but with the front on 2" setting. The front is right at 1/4 higher than the rear but its a brand new 2019 and the coils will settle more than the rear, therefore it will be level in no time at all.

Sorry for the crappy representation but i had already installed the actual pieces in the truck before I took the pics but this is an example of what I used inside the crossmember to keep it from collapsing. The larger washer goes on bottom but has to be trimmed on the edges so it fits in the hole.
