Default Clean lowering kit? Ideas?

I'm sure i will get an ear full from some of you, and i know exactly what your going to say "it ruins the purpose of a truck" yeah yeah yeah, i have driven my truck on a lift for 3 years now and i am over it. I dont like the way stock looks, so my truck has got to have something to it wether its lowered or lifted, and i already tried lifted. I want to get my truck as low as possible and being able to sit on 22's. I would like to get 24's but i think my truck couldnt be lowered then. I want links to kits, or to pictures of f150's lowered on 24's or 22's. No one around here has a clean lowered f150 with the 97-03 body type. They all look terrible, either the rims are too small or the truck isnt lowered enough or its all jazzed up with cheap chrome **** from pep boys. Any help would be appreciated.

we are kind of in the same boat. I have 24s on my 2000 ext. cab f150 and I want to go low. I am looking everywheres for a 5/7" drop. If I can't find one I might need to go 4/6". There aren't any clean looking lowered f150s around here either. I'd like to see some pics after you do your lowering and what-not.

Dude, 24's on a 5/7 drop! You're asking for trouble. If I were you, I'd go 4/6.

Bump

Was thinking about lowering and adding 20's, noticed this post is a little old so is this still the best route? I would like to do it right and wouldn't mind spending a little more now then later!

I like the DJM kit and it appears to be a well made/includes all you need?

Thanks!

Pretty much. You shouldn't have any troubles with either choice. You can comfortably run 20's with 275/45's for rubber. That gives you a little cushion, but not so much where they look flat. 275/45/20 is actually the factory tire size for the Harley Davidson F-150's.
