Default Belltech Strut/Shock Feedback.

Ok I am looking for some feedback on Belltechs street performance front adjustable struts and rear shocks. I have a 2012 FX2 crew and my plan was to put the struts up front with 1" lower, and the shocks in the rear with 2" lowering shackles. For various reasons I am not going lower. What I would like please is feedback from those who have them on ride quality. Especially compared to stock... I have had several people saw they ride and handle better than stock. I can believe the handle part, but ride? I hope so as inprooving ride is my main goal, but.... looking for Honest feedback would be great. Thanks ,,,,,,

ive been installing these struts since late 03 when they came out. For valving they do ride great. Now for those that want to go all out the kw coilovers ride a lot better than stock both front/rear and cornering is greatly improved but the coilover kit is in the 1500 dollar range.

I install these kits as well as install it and for guys that need new shocks all around ive never had one complaint. Also so you know shackles for 2 inches dont really change ride but cornering is improved since center of gravity is brought down.

Thanks, and thanks for the PM.... I was leaning to the Belltech set up, but now you peak my interest alot wit the KW.... If ride is that much better I would pay the extra... soooo.... the fronts would be a new spring and strut set up? are they adjustable like Belltech or ordered with 1" drop? and the rear would be any make shackle to get 2" drop and use KW shocks? or do they package it together with shims and all parts etc.... if its all at 1500 and that much better I would go that route..... KW is parent company of Belltech now I believe????

Kw bought belltech years ago. The kit is made by kw but labeled under belltech even though the shocks will say kw.

The kit front is adjustable crom 0-3 inches and rear is just shocks that are double adjustable. You would have to add in shackles for a 2 inch drop and if you have a lifting block in rear you just remove the block and that will give you another 1 inch drop.

Usually when you do a flip you get vibration but with just shackles your fine.

depends on what they did at factory. Ive seen 2wds have blocks while some 4wds have not. Thats why on all my customers cars that i lower and do kits on I always measure. Haven't steered anyone wrong on this site and been here a few years now.

Lowering these 04 up trucks since late 03 I learned a lot hell I lowered my f150 back in 99 and drive it daily no issues.

Ride will be the same from 0" to 3", because the strut uses the factory springs. The lower it gets the more sports-carish the handling will feel.

hey... been away a bit and tossing this all up.... Groundforce 2/4 or a Belltech setup.... I think I am going Belltech (thanks for help Kris ...) I initially was going 2" shackle and shocks in rear and strut up front set 1" drop to level a little but keep some rake.... but you mentioned the KW coil overs and got me thinking.. are they front and rear set up? and for the price increase do they ride that much better on stock springs... I am looking for comfort not sportness....

the kws are coilovers in front and rear double adjustable shocks. The front gets rid of everything ie shock/spring. ON the customers trucks that ive lowered and installed plus sold online the street performance shocks do ride well.
