Default Y flowmasters??

Ok there is other mufflers that sound way better than flowmasters. I work at a exhaust shop and to me its all the same sound. Try something different. For example my set up is shorty headers true dual 2 1/2 x-pipe moroso spiril flow mufflers dumps (no cats) ive never been happier with the results. Do reasearch flowmasters break from their welds all the time. Post ur sound clips show me something different that I havnt seen or done at my job

Ive had Flow 40s on 3 different vehicles in a place with extreme salt air and roads...never had one issue and I think they sound badass. It's why I will continue using them. There are a lot of great sounding exhausts out there, all in the ear of the beholder. I think they're a much better value than a lot of mufflers out there though. Post a vid of yours up

My truck came with a one to two flowbastard exhaust. It has been nothing but problems. I've replaced the tailpipes once already, and the hanger setup is a joke. The muffer was only a few years old when it rusted apart. I'm guessing it was 40 series, or a basic 3 chamber. Any identification of the muffler had long since rusted away when I got it. I was able to get a Magnaflow from Summit for about $110. Much better quality, and better sound. I'm going to have to redo the tailpipes again due to more rust farther up the pipe.

Love magnaflows quality. Less restriction. Borla corsa magnaflow spintec and now moroso are all excellent quality so far that ive worked with. Flowmasters have too many off brand competition like forsaflow thrush vx series air flow basicly different names but cheaper than flowmaster. Its just a name but there are many other supposed "flowmasters" out there just different name. 40 series ive seen at a auto parts store go for around $80 (no installation of course) yet I found the same exact muffler same chambers same color same size same everything for $25 just a non name brand. Both prices are not based on wholesale prices they r both list prices.

I've had the same Dynomax Ultraflow Mufflers on my Mustang for 12 years now, and they still look new. I went with the Magnaflow for the truck because it was $40 cheaper, and basically the same muffler.

Never installed a dynomax. There are many style, brand, quality mufflers out there and im just curious on how they all sound. There r sound boards on the internet but nothing beats actual opinions from past experience

Could go with flowsounds. They are similar, but are better from what I hear. The muffler shop told me that Flowsounds are better quality than Flowmaster. So I went with it. So far love them. I go to pick up a buddy of mine for work sometimes. He always knows when I am there. I passed up his house the other day and had to turn around. He said his fiance looked at him and said that sounded like him. He told me my truck has a distinct sound. He can tell it from other trucks. Best thing about it is they are cheaper. True duals from the cats back with 16" long tips and 3" wide for 350. Flowmaster would have been around 400-450.
