Default WTH is this....

Hey guys,

I have a PO171 and I know its a vacuum issue because my A/C cuts out. I have already found one leak and fixed it. While searching some more I found this......

It's connected to what I believe is the canister that attaches to the battery base plate..and the line ran from the intake.....

it seems like a 1 way valve depending on which end you blow you can either blow through it but not inhale through it or vesa verse .

It doesnt look factory and seem like someone has been there... so I am asking does it belong or does any one know anything about it......Thanks for the help guys

Just in case:

Looks factory. Same thing on mine, but mine is a tad smaller. Its just a vaccum connector.

it looks like where you have yours unless I am looking at it wrong....is on the black line for the A/C and the upper portion of the canister where I just have a black Y connector

Mine is off of the first T connector and runs with the red line going to the lower canister...

I found another leak off of the black line that goes to the upper canister at the 3 prong connector ....

Sorry if this is some what confusing just trying to iron this all out...Some times it sucks buying used and not know what some one else did...
