Default Wtf???

So I'm driving home the other day and when I got off the highway and into the less noisy gated community I hear like a metal clinking sound! It sound like its coming from under the bed of the truck near the passenger side! It made the noise as I went over speed bumbs and when I turned corners! I stop the truck and look under, but see nothing! I thought it might be the bracket that holds up the muffler but it looked secure! Has ANYONE else experienced this kind of problem??? Again it sound like metal clinking together! Thanks for any input!

Get under it and shake anything that looks flimbsey...What ever it is should be clearly visable. Really isn't much under the bed of a truck.

BigJ23,
Not sure this is it, but I had a very similar issue. It kept getting worse and would happen mostly when the truck would vibrate at a certain frequency...like a little above idle as I recall.
Mine was a U-bolt that had the clamp part rusted off. I never would have thought it would have been that loud, but it was.
Hope you find it.

When bolts are lose (IE shackle bolts) they can develop an egg shape in the through holes where they mount. Not good but I don't think that's it because there is pressure on the shackles. They wouldn't make that sound. If it was your u-joints it would rattle your whole truck pretty bad due to lack of balance. I doubt that's it. I don't know what's making the sound but I hope this helps narrows it down.
