Just outta curiosity....do you guys think it is worth it to lift and pipe out a truck at 183,xxx? It is mainly stock right now and really want a lifted truck with a nice rumble. What's your opinions? Do it to my current truck or wait it out till I can get a truck with less mileage and then do it? Thanks in advance guys!!

In my opinion if it is something u want to do I'd do it it should really hurt the truck unless ur gonna lift it a foot and put 44's on it then I would say no but a regular lift and exahust I'd say go for it

damn straight!

do it bud. if you hvae doubts about the life of the truck dont go all out and spend 1k on a suspension lift. just put a P.A. body lift on it and some nice tires and an exhaust. nothing wrong with a body lift, in fact i can name a few pros about body lifts. not worrying about the front end parts wearing out, more underhood room, not having the body and frame touch could help with rusting out by not letting water and dirt being held between.

one con that comes to mind (depends on how you look at it) its better to install a body lift yourself. the cost of install will greatly exceed the price of the product. its not a hard install, just time consuming.

do it and post some pictures!

Thanks for the feedback guys!
The only reason I am unsure about the life of the vehicle is cause its been in Minnesota it's whole life and just not sure about all the undercarriage condition. It really doesn't have that much body rust, just a little bit coming from the other side of the tailgate and a paint chip that you can see rust on the drivers side. Otherwise the engine runs like a champ! Good old Ford!

Dads 02 F150 has been in Wisconsin all its life with 293,000 miles and is still daily driven. Sho it!

Do you think it's worth it? Is the truck paid for? If it is why would you want a payment then try and scramble for money to lift it. Lift it and throw exhaust on it. If the motor blows toss a motor in it. Cheaper than a truck payment.

dude, michigan aint no better than minnesota. we use a ton of salt here in the winter.

get yourself a bunch of cans of undercoating or POR-15. clean the hell out of the frame and underside of the cab and spray it down. also i have heard of using Meguiars synthetic sealant on the whole underbody. just spray it on and itll help protect against the salt in the winter. i plan on doing this. the sealant is a little pricey though.
