Default Wiring light bar

Hey guys I'm currently trying to use an add a fuse to run my light bar off of a switch I was going to mount in my cab. I was going to use the add a fuse in an empty fuse location but it seems like none of them were wired to take a fuse? So would I be able to replace a current fuse with the add a fuse. The add a fuse has two spots for fuses so I could add a fuse slightly larger than what was there currently? Would doing so cause what the current fuse is for to only work when my switch is on?
Thanks

Get a relay and do it properly.

I have a relay. But I'm going from relay to switch. I have to then go from switch to 12v accessory right?

If you use a relay you don't need the add a fuse for the switch. You should have an inline fuse from the power cable on the battery though.

Unless youre like my gf and will forget to turn the switch off. If so, tap into the radio/pcm fuse if you're looking for one that is hot when the trucks on and cold when the trucks off. This will prevent draining battery if you forget to flip switch to off. Only run the switch through it. Too much load to run the hot to the light bar from it.

To answer your second question. If you do it like this, the switch (amd light bar) will only function if the truck is on. Your switch has no impact on the original fuse and what's connected to it. Meaning switch can be off and everything else will still work normally. This is what I would do.

That looks like how I set mine up. I was just unsure of how to tap into the fuses. I ended up getting it to work. I tapped into fuse 1. I don't understand how you can do it without an add a fuse though? When I say add a fuse I mean the picture I put on.

I know what an add a fuse is. That's why I said to use the radio/pcm fuse to tap into.

Without an add a fuse you would connect your switch power to any 12v source. Either battery, fuse, ignition wire..etc. You got it though.

Never mind. Didn't see the wavy line indicating a fuse.
