Default wiper problems

My 2003 f150 Lariet quad cab fx model has started to have wiper issues. They work then they don't. The seem to work slowly when they do. The ford dealer says he can't diagnoze the problem if they are working, which they were at the time. Told me if they stop to take something and beat on the motor. Needless to say I'm not going there to have the repair made. Is it something I could troubleshoot?

Might check the connection on the multifunction switch. Ford used a contact lube that dries out and could be causing a connection problem.

Default Thanks for the reply

I'll see if I can get that part out and look at the lube.

I know what you mean a little to much snow ice and cold rain unless you have a big heated garage.

it is inside your truck you could let it run till it heats up and then keep the door closed while you work. just an idea

Guys make sure to disconnect the battery. You'll be too close to the airbag to make a mistake.

I know on mine, I have to fiddle with the switch to get it to spray fluid... Could that also be related?

Not trying to hijack, but wanting to know of this lube, etc.

I get to do that next week. I am taking train upto NY, pickup the truck, pull into a friends garage, and do the repairs, then drive back to Savannah.
