Default Wiper help

Ok, I bought my 97 back in April after my Dakota shot craps. Love having a full size truck again but this one has a little quirk I haven't figured out yet. My windshield wipers quit one day, along with the dome light and door/key/seat belt chime. It's not a fuse issue because after two weeks of them not working, they started working again last night.
I am lost on this, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Randy

I have the same issues with my 97. found out it the GEM Module located on the fuse box. I was able to bypass the wiper relay so now I have wipers.

Check all of your grounds in the engine compartment. I had the horn, cruise control and wipers all go out at the same time. It turned out to be a ground to the body on the left side of the firewall in the engine compartment that had loosened up. I tightened that bolt and everything worked again!

Ok, thanks warhammer, I'm starting to think that's the problem because they didn't work this morning, but when I left work everything worked.
