Lol, - 6 months later the battery will be dead and the truck will look like it's been washed with SOS pads lol.

I buy a new car cover every year, just to try and keep that from happening. Last year it was way more sealed off than before, so I might get away with reusing it this year.

If you don't want to spend the money on a cover, you could purchase one of those cheap harbor freight plastic enclosures. They'll last 6 months if secured well enough. Probably one of the cheaper ways, other than a thick coat of wax. A tarp is most definitely not the way on something you want to keep purdy. Not to mention they don't really breath that well, so it will trap moisture, rusting the nuts and bolts first, along with discoloring anything aluminum..white rust. It's much better not to tarp at all vs that.

So just because i didn't preplan my schedule i get trashed on. Yes i asked for advise, got it, some good, some no so good. Par for the site.
best advise is uncover it, disconnect battery. Got that and i will do. As for Skylar comments... unnecessary, if you cant play nice dont comment on my stuff, block my comments so you dont have to read them.

It has nothing to do with your schedule it has to do with you asking advice, then appearing to disregard it. Unfortunately, there's been a rash of that lately, and yours appeared to be just one more example.

Yes, if time is a problem, have someone uncover the truck because that tarp *will* damage the finish (I experienced this while parting my '99) and disconnect the battery. If they can pull it later and put it in a garage or basement on a tender, that would be best.

Have a nice trip!
