Default Window trim

Does anyone know what color the trim around the rear window was from the factory? Mine is a light grey right now, but i can't tell if it used to be black, or dark grey. Also, is there a way to get that off to paint it without taking the windshield out too?

I taped my window trim and bed rails off and painted them black. Gives it a "new" look! I would just paint them, not plasti dip, because your not going to want to take it off anytime.

Do NOT remove that plastic rim for the window - many members here reported that they introduced a leak by breaking the seal. Tape off, and use a couple of coats of Krylon Fusion, and for less than $6, it'll be as good as new!
Here are the before and after.

That came out GREAT! Smoother than the Fusion I sprayed on. But, ANYTHING beats that faded grey we had.

Thanks. I still need to touch up the bottom but I ran out. It doesn't look that good until it dries, and then it starts to smooth out.

I need to work on the brake light too. Needs wet sanded

I put LEDs in mine, but they wouldn't be bright enough to overcome the plasti-dip. By doing that, you saved at least $60 or so to have that effect. Good Job!
