Default Widening Track

So I have a 99 2wd and plan on making it look like a pre-runner and at least as capable as possible for now. Its totally stock, I plan on getting new fenders/bedsides to widen the look. Well I want to widen the track 8" or so.

I was thinking of going with the 6" Pro-Comp lift but I don't know if it even widens the track.

If not, what lift would provide me with a wide track? And what are other ways? I can't seem to find any spacers and I also like the look of the wider arms or whatever. I plan on doing all this by Aug..I will eventually go with a long travel susp. but that will be awhile..

the lifts dont widen your stance they just raise it. Your wheel offset is going to determine that or you can look around for a suspension setup that will. They ought to have some with longer control arms and such.

No lifts will widen your stance because of 2 factors

1. The knuckle/spindle that lifts come with is usually wider than stock, i know fabtech, procomp and zones are. They widen you about 1-2 inches on each side.

2. They put the angles of your a arms much flater than stock, to prove it got stand on your bumper and compress your suspension it flatens out and gets wider.

If your looking for a cost effective lift and gaining some travel here you go.

Thanks guys! Well I want to actually prob go with 37s, 35s if 37's will look huge. I love the look of these 37s(tires I plan on getting..)

So a 4.5" lift on 2wd really won't do it for me. Something about the 7.5" lift has never really looked right to me..maybe its me..Which do yall recommend?

http://www.fabtechmotorsports.com/pr...t_detail&p=160

So could I get wider control arms? And I can't find 37s anywhere, largest size fr red letters I could find was 35s, have yall seen 37s for sale?

i think that fabtech 7.5" long travel kit looks damn good on the 97-03 body style. if i were you i'd stick to 35's of you're going for performance, but 37's if you're just going for looks. those 37's will rob you of some power unless you do some hp mods

No no no, thats not what im saying you replace your stock setupj with that long travel kit, and gain actual wheel travel and then add the 7.5 inch kit and get your lift.

Thanks. It says it lifts it 4.5" as well..So is their anyway I could also raise my truck another 2" - 3"?

I would like my front 1" higher than the rear. I'm also going to put a 35x17 wheel in bed, do you think that would effect rear suspension?

That kit comes with new lift coils im not 100% sure but you might be able to stack a leveling kit on top of it.
