In all reality, if you like it, who gives a flying f*** about what anyone else thinks. I work with all, and i mean ALL chevy people and i get enough flak to take down the US air force, but i don't care. Im born and raised ford, love my truck, love its ride, its power, even though it has a 3:08 ring it still gets around JUST FREAKING FINE.

And going out on a limb here, but

A ford modular is the best sounding V8 on the market period.

I cut the muffler of my 4.6 and left the cats so far and it sound cleaner and more aggressive than my buddies 5.3 on borlas

It's funny when I first bought my 5.4 I was convinced it had a glasspack or something of the sort it was loud but not too loud and it had a nice tone. When I pulled the motor I discovered, no glasspack just a straight pipe. So yeah, have to agree that they sound great. Although my old 351 sounds pretty nice too.

I wouldnt go as far as to say they are the best sounding. However, when set up right, they can surely sound aggressive.

My 5.4 with a few little exhaust upgrades.

Before a huge debate over "sound" sparks off, please realize this is one of those things that's subjective - just like aesthetics.

I have to admit, before I bought my 99 Triton 5.4, I hated on ford for years. My old man worked for GM for almost 30 years, so Only Chevys were allowed in our drive way, and I bought into Chevys. Don't get me wrong, GM has great trucks, 2003 is my fav. But when I was down and out and needed a transportation, my inlaws had that 99 I bought. I only payed $500 for it. When I got it, it ran like ****, it smeeled of mold because the rear window had a leak,. I sealed up the rear window, changed the plugs and coils (which was a ****ing pain in the *** because if the two right on the firewall), and now it runs like a champ. I'm creeping up on 400,000 miles and I plan on keeping this truck until I die or it gets totaled. I'm a Ford man now. Well I really only care about my Ford. LOL!!

I still say some of you are doing it on purpose though. It seems to have grown in popularity over the last few years.

For some reason I thought this was the random picture thread - oh well, enjoy the cats anyway.
I like the cat photo. Nice moment of break from the conversation.
