Default Who thinks this would work!!?!?!?

Ok so I've been debating redoing my rear cats with high flows for some more sound, but this thought came to me. Has anyone ever had cut outs welded in between the front and back to cats? That way I can be loud and obnoxious when I want to(friday-saturday) nights, then go back to my regular cat back. Anybody think thatll work ok?

Just so everyone knows up front, the Federal fine for removing or bypassing catalytic convertors is ( X2 if you mess with both cats) is $2,500 per modification for individuals, and $ 25,000 per day per modification for businesses. I think people who pollute my air by removing cats (which have been proved to provide a great reduction in emmissions) are not nice or considerate people and give pickup drivers a bad rep. They don't go around enforcing it, but if a cop has it in for you or is hell cop, he can cite you for noise and then report you to the EPA, and then you will be dishing out some big bucks. Be a nice guy and get a free flow EPA approved cat so the rest of us don't die from lung cancer, OK?
Nothing sounds better than a tuned exhaust with free flow cats. Removing mufflers and cats or a straight through exhaust makes a truck sound like an old worn out junker, or a Harley motrocycle wanna be - not a cool truck, in my opinion. A good tuned exhaust sounds almost musical and changes pitch with power, and will give you more HP than straight through.

Yep, in all 50 states, Federal Law.
If you drive through an inspection state and they inspect your pickup truck and find the modification, you are in deep doo.

most cops aren't going to take the time to report you to epa anyways. They may cite you for your vehicle exceeding the decibel (sp) limit but I doubt it.
