Default Where to Start?

I have a 2002 Ford F-150 XL Sport (V6) that I bought from my grandfather. It's clean as a whistle on the inside but the bumpers & grille (or grill insert?) are in below average condition. The paint is perfect & everything else is good to go.

I am thinking that I want to put a small lift on it eventually & upgrade the tires/wheels.

What's the best place to get started making this thing shine? I am thinking about buying OEM replacement bumpers (chrome) instead of the stuff that's on there now. I was considering the Parts Bin... any suggestions there?

Thanks!

In this pic (the first one), is the bumper the chrome part & the gray part the valance (on the front end)?

If I want to replace the grille, do I have a grille insert or a grille? How can I tell?
