i've also heard that they put more stress on your ball joints and lugs? true or not?

i ran autocross with my firebird with 2" wheel spacers front and rear to fit corvette rims.. they were wonderful till you find ruts in the road from dump trucks, then the car pulls every which way. Yes more wear and tear on all of the suspension components, tie rod ends, ball joints, etc..

just my experiences...

a lifted f150 with the tires not at least flush if not sticking out a little from the wheel wells just looks queer.. so that makes it worth it, under the understanding itll cost ya in the long run..

running a wider rim and tire would be the correct way but i too have thought of spacers to get the wheels out. i havent heard an opinion from anybody who actually owns them. only people who dant that say they wear suspension parts. i too would like more info on these

running wider tire and rims will not necessarily correct the problem, depends entirely on your offset, run wider rims and you still could have the same pulling problem when you go through rutts.

Going with a deeper negative offset also accomplishes the same thing that wheel spacers do. The farther off-center the wheel center is from the lugs, the more stress it puts on the assembly.

i have wheel spacers and love them. i have a torsion bar crank with 35" 12.5" pro comps. They didnt fit on the front they scrubbed a lot but on the rear they look bad ***. So far no problems and i drive highway 100 miles a day.

im gettin some as soon as i get cash. they put just as much stress on the susp as the backspaced rims do and its not all that bad but its worth it imo
