Wheel spacers
Wheel spacers and adapters often get confused. A spacer I wouldn't recommend. A wheel adapter to the same bolt pattern would be fine. You could go as much is 2 inches maybe more with the right wheel adapter. I'm running 1.5 inches hub centric Wheel adapters and they work great. Never had a problem.

I dont follow. From what I understand, a spacer is just that, you keep the same bolt pattern, it bolts up to the factory studs, then bolt your wheel to it, adapters just adapt your factory bolt pattern to another bolt pattern, do this so you can run different wheels that dont come in the factory bolt pattern. if you keep it with the same pattern.....thats a spacer...

.... anyway, cheers
My only regret is that I didn't buy thicker ones. I have 1 inch spacers/adaters. My rims are 18mm offset, and the 1" spacer makes them -7mm. Brings my tires out "just" past the fenders. Wish I'd gone for a little more negative offset.
