What's the point??
Maybe it's just me, but why put lifts on your truck and slapping oversized rubber on them. It kills the mileage, destroys the front end, and speeds up the overall wear and tear of the truck. I just don't get it.
I went the opposite of most here, I have 285/50-20's on my 03 FX4 Lariat.
They ride and drive as good as the factory tires and at 31" tall they give me plenty of clearance, but I only use 4x4 for extra traction on slick surfaces(muddy roads at deer camp mostly) and not for tearing my truck up in the mud.

Why not lift them and i go play in the mud quite a bit and if u are worried about mileage u shouldn't have a truck in the first place and I only spent $300 on the set of 4 35s that I'm running which is way cheaper than a set of factory sized tires
I lifted my truck to get to my duck blind and any other place i go in the mud to get somewhere. Ot has bedliner painted stock wheels and cheap mudgrips. It stays pretty dirty and it gets washed with soap about twice a year. It gets pressure washed if it has alot of mud on it. It is by no means a flashy or show off truck. It is a practical machine for getting me to my hunting and dirtbike riding areas and it just so happens to be a daily driver. Jusy because its on pavement all summer that by no means makes it a "pavement pounder"

I lifted mine and put large rims on it because that's what I wanted to do with my hard earned money... If ford would offer my likes from the factory then I wouldn't have to modify.. I am a street pounder 90% of the time.. Not interested in looking for mud but I grew up in the country and the ponds and atv trails I like to get to are not on paved roads so I need to be prepared to take those ruts and not bottom out...
I may even get a set of FEDERAL Couragia M/T 33/12.50-20's(look bad *** on 20's) for this years hunting season but wont be running the highways with them often.
My 03 Screw has 217K miles on it and still runs and drives like new because I treat it right and service it on time. I bet half the guys here dont even know the differential fluid has to be changed every time the diff goes under water/mud because the seals leak from the outside in.
