Default What would cause this?

When im driving, I get a kick from the back whenever I let my foot off the gas a bit. You would think its the transmission the way its kicking. But i dont think thats what it is. My buddy was telling I should check my universal joint for any movement. So i will check that this weekend. Anything else I should be lookng at? 2002 Scab, 2wd, 4.2 V6, 4r70 trans, 8.8 gearing, 3.55 gears. 6in lift, 4in blocks in the rear. Thanks for your time.

I know when you disconnect it, it takes a little time for computer to get reset and it does that. Had it happen several times to me, just takes a time. Not sure but might be your issue

It sounds like your classic case of failing u-joints.

That's exactly what happened when mine went. When you put pressure on it it dosnt make the noise. When you take your foot off the gas it does.

Yes, that'll happen with bad u-joints. They catch as they are speeding up or slowing down.

Well, was just under the truck this morning, the driveshaft does not move at all. U-joints are good. So I guess its safe to say something is going on in the transmission?
