what transmission

What is the letter on your door jam? E4OD is trans code E. Used in 97s. If the trans is from a 98 it's either 4R70w or maybe a 4r100 though the 100 is huge.

The one I bought was not in a truck, it was already out.
It was suppost to be out of a truck with a 4.6 in it but when I got mine out it is bigger and a little longer than mine.
I took the guys word that it was off a f150 4.6.
When I google the numbers on it thats in my second post everything points to it being off a f250/f350.
Would like to know for sure before I try to get my money back!
Thanks for any help.

Here, this may be helpful:
4R70W: Pan measures 15 inches long.
E40D: Pan measures 20.5 by 13.5 inches and has 20 bolts. There is also a notch in the passenger side front corner.
Either way, if it is not the same transmission it will not be a direct swap.
