I have a 1997 f150 4.6 with 3.55s and 33s. My plan is to eventually get 35s what gears 4.10 or 4.56

4.56's. I have 4.10's in mine with 33's and it was the perfect amount of torque gain with no noticible mpg loss so 4.56's will be perfect for 35's

How much are guys spending on a gear change? Also I was told since my truck came with 3.55's i would have to buy new carrier's to go to a 4.10 or lower, is that true? Thanks for any info on this.

If you have a 9" axle then a carrier wil bolt right in. If not you change ring and pinion.

You only have to buy the ring and pinion set and the install kits. The stock carrier is fine for the 4.10s. Thats what I am going to.
