I'm writing for my uncle. He has a new to him 02 F150 FX4. He has chimes that go off when he starts the truck, 5 chimes 5 times. No idiot lights on the IP. It's not the same chime as the seat belt chime. If anyone knows what it is and how to turn it off, it would keep him sane for a few more years. Thanks!

He doesn't have it. Mine is an 06 and doesn't say anything about it.

 

the airbag warning light might be burnt out?

 

That's what I was thinking but it comes on when you start the truck.

It's got something to do with the SRS system try plugging in a scan tool if you have one that reads SRS and see what codes pop up I bet you dollars to donuts you have a DTC
