I have a 99 f150 and it used to be a landscaping truck. I was searching for where the back up alarm was and I came across this. Is it the alarm and how come it ends where my spare tire goes? Thanks!

 

That's where you crank down your spare tire

 

Correct... You stick that long skinnny piece that comes with your Jack Kit in there and turn it.

 

So the alarm still activates when you back up? if you're trying to find the alarm hop under the truck and have a buddy throw it in reverse for a second... and my guess on the alarm would be that red bar thing in the picture looks out of place

 

Alot of times there in your tail lights I'd check them out first

 

It is not in the tail lights I checked and I'll check the red thing. Thanks

 

The Red thing is part of my frame. I'm trying to chase the wiring from the rear lights but no luck yet
