Default Weird starting problem

Okay my truck starts up perfectly when cold and after about a 10-20min drive and park it and shut it off to go in somewhere I'll come back out and try n start it, my starter solenoid will just click when I turn the key but if I wait til my truck cools down it will start right up, what's the problem? I'm so lossed!

It could be multiple things a "dead spot" in the starter poor connections at the battery or starter. A bad ground I would start with checking all connections making sure they are making good contact and not corroded

So this happens every time you shut the truck off after it's been running and start it back up or is it more of an intermittent failure to start?

what do you mean a better starter relay? The solenoid that's on the firewall? How would one be better from another? I guess I don't follow your train of thought hope you fixed it
