water in floor
I've been searching for reasons for the water in the floor. Truck sat outside in a heavy rain. I had removed the trim pieces on the inside for a cleaning. The passenger side window doesn't work. I have removed the panel to replace the motor. Along to base of the cab passenger side there was water standing in the track. The door gaskets all look good. The window is firmly in place. Must have not been the first time because the carpet appears to have been wet before.
Where should I start the search for the leaking area. I've read the windshield is a good place to start. Going to have rain here for the next 4 days or so. Guess I can just go sit in the truck and watch my next day off.

Thanks for your response. I checked this morning after a heavy rain last night. The water is in the right side floor channel. The carpet felt wet on the right side coming from the rear. I would think that would be the rear window or possibly the side window. The carpet isn't soaked and only wet close to the side. Plan on removing the seats and carpet this weekend for a thorough cleaning. That should show more.
thanks again
thanks again
i didn't realize the window was leaking and not the dog until i witnessed water running down the back of the cab during a heavy rain
i took out the back seat - the rear wall was never wet - my truck has vinyl floor so the water just ran underneath and out the rust holes
the dogs bed was soaked because it was touching the rear wall
it fairly easy to fix if you do it right - you need to take the window out and clean it and the part of the truck it seals to - get the butyl rubber sealant
don't try to seal it from the outside with caulk - it won't work
