Default Vacuum to Manual

My front acuator is shot and i was looking to replace it. They are around $100. Then i read one place where you can by a manual replacement instead of having to use the vacuum lines and worry about it not engaging. Was wondering if anyone has done this or knows where you could get these parts. Thank you.

Put one on my S-10 years ago, and it worked like a charm. Shouldn't be too hard to find one for a F150.
I'll do some searching.

Yeah i heard they work well and atleast you know they will always be reliable. I was thinking if couldnt find anything if i got a clutch cable and fed it all around everything to under the dash if that would work.

Here you go. $159 for the complete kit.

For that price I may get one for mine. Having low range in 2wd would be nice at the boat ramp at times.

Are you sure it's a problem with the actuator and not a vacuum problem?

I'm not completely familiar with how they work (knock on wood) on the F150's yet. I found that problem in my Jeep though, a broken vacuum line to the actuator on the T-case.

That sucks. Have it sent to my house and I'll send it up to you.

Hopefully you find something. They have a bunch of Canadian retailers listed on the website.
