Default Torsion bars positive/negatives

I've seen plenty of threads on how to crank the torsion bars, but im wondering what are the negatives (if any) of doing this are, as i am thinking about doing this.

I've heard it gives the truck a stiffer ride feeling and makes it harder to turn the wheel but gives it a higher ride height. are there any opinions from members who have done this?

-i have stock torsion bars and a 3inch fabtech lift if that helps...

It leaves your cv axles at a crazy angle and could cause binding and ripping your boots

I just lowered mine back down. I went through 3 cv joints in one year. I say its not worth it...a little extra lift for a ton of problems

What they said above, plus it will ride like crap due to having no down travel in the suspension.

Raising the front up an inch is one thing, cranking them to the max isn't good.

Will it have the same effect if you buy the torsion keys to lift the front?

from what i hear from people, they say don't waste your money on those because they will cause even greater wear on the front end

i just turned the bars up. got like 2.5 inches just to fit bigger tires. and its free. im too cheap to put on a full suspension and i think a body lift is a good cheaper way to go.
