Default Utility bed

So my truck has a huge dent in the bed and the tailight is being held in duct tape (3 years strong) BUuuuuuut I think its time for a change up, has anyone here put a utility/ work bed on their 97-03s? Since mine is already matte black I'm thinking of like a bug out style truck or just a mean camping truck with the roof top tent! Anyone??? Don't want anything to wide though is the only problem, cant seem to find a solid 6' utility bed i like.

It's like the question of will an 04 up bed fit out trucks. The answer is NO. The rear window configuration makes it very hard to use anything but the original style(s) beds. You would have at least a 6 inch gap from the window down and closer to eight when you leave enough room for movement. If you could find a small enough one, it might work but would sure wouldn't have much for aesthetic looks. These beds are 6.5 on our Scabs.

It is possible to get a utility bed on these, you can look them up on Google, however it looks like they're all 8' beds but I'm not looking too far into it.
