What about a set of longtubes? Would it be worth it to install while the engine is out? I'm not even sure if they engine could be installed with a set of longtubes attached, might not be enough room.

Also adding to the list new coolant hoses and motor mounts.

For the "new" F150 they did, but the Heritage F150 and F250 (and 350 I believe) was still the 2v.

I know the answer has many variables, but what are the going prices for a used 2V 5.4l triton engine? Say with 100,000 miles on it? I might be looking for one in Southern WI soon.

Anywhere from $2000, from LKQ, or $800-1800 through a junkyard.

To the OP, replace spark plugs, exhaust manifolds, gaskets, water pump, and timing chains.

I have an 03 F150 Supercrew with 140,000 miles on it and the head gasket started leaking. I purchased a 5.4 from a 2003 F250, No intake was included, will mine from my 2003 F150 5.4 interchange? I did notice that the F250 5.4 has a block heater, and engine oil cooler and the filter mounts much further to the rear than my F150. I am planning on doing the filter relocation while swapping the engine, so will be removing the F250 filter/coolant inlet housing and installing the one from my engine. Anyone aware of any difficulties I might have in this swap? Are the flexplates the same? Both trucks have automatic transmissions.
