If your wanting a shop to do balljoints might as well sell the truck. Go to advance and get a some MOOG balljoints, rent a balljoint press and dedicate a day to do it

I had a quote of $1200 for uppers and lowers.

If you're capable of doing them yourself, you can save close to a thousand. They're not terribly difficult, just time consuming.

Best to do them in pairs cause it won't be long for the driver side to go.

For ball joint tools, check the loaner tool program at Autozone. The loaners are free and they usually have a good price on parts.

Oh and for the uppers just get a new uca with balljoint already on it. It'd be a good idea to get camber/caster kits while your at it

That's what I did when I did mine. Rented the balljoint press for about $175 (Which you get back) then probably spent oh idk like $300 maybe for the Upper and Lower ball joints for both sides, and put em in. It's not that hard at all once you learn how to use the tool properly. Definitely not worth letting a shop do it they rip you off.

You tube it there are a couple of vids on the repair it's not to difficult. I got a price on moog parts from oriellys of $40 for the lowers and honestly can't remember the price on the uppers but it was close to the same. And they rent the tool with a credit card deposit. Good luck

To have both sides done, both upper and lower I was quoted a grand to have it done. I ended doing it myself with all Moog joints for a ballpark of $350-$400. I can't remember the exact number. It's definately time consuming, especially for someone like me who's not that mechanically inclined but the job itself isn't to hard. You can rent the press from autozone for $100, which your refunded upon return

I did mine myself. I took the easy way out, instead of messing with a press I just bought new control arms too. It took no time at all to change mine. Moog is the way to go, the quality of Moog parts are way better.
