Ugly rust hole in the rocker panel -'98
I've got a '98 150 that looks pretty good from the outside, but yesterday when cleaning it up I literally put my hand through the rocker panel at the front cab corner. Any input on the tendencies of this model year to rust like this? Ideas on fixing it? I'm thinking of welding steel over it and spraying rhino lining. It's not visible when the door is closed.
Thanks.
Thanks.

No Pain, No Pain!
I've got a 96 F150, Northeast Coast truck that has almost no rust to the body. Don't think the trucks were "prone" to rusting problems, perhaps the previous owner didn't take care to clean the truck regularly.

I Voted For Bill and Opus
A lot of times what happens is somebody will do a rust treatment, under coat what ever and they plug up the drain holes in the body especially in the rocker panels water collects and rust happens.
