Default U joints?

I have a clicking noise that is coming from under the truck, maybe drive shaft area? Idk. But it sounds like someone is sticking a paper clip in bicycle spokes, can't hear it with the windows up, loud as hell with windows down, it only dose it at quick accerlation, and quick slowing down. Is it my universal joints?

What do they cost? All I got is 5 bucks till Thursday lol. Will it hurt to run I a week and half? I just started. I got a lot of hours this week, I could get buy with buying them Thursday when I get paid (as long as they are less than 100$) but I would reather wait till the bigger paycheck to be safe.

I ran mine for a month before I replaced them. And I think it shouldn't be more than $80 for the parts. But that's if you do them yourself.

Just make sure you get the Greasable ones... And easy way to tell is to giver you drive shaft a good firm shaking.... You will know if they are back because there will be play at the joints. There should't be any.

When they get bad, you will get a wicked vibration. I lost mine on the highway with my old Jeep. Couldn't do more than 40 mph.

The only true way to test them is to take out the driveshaft and move then around. Mine didn't have any play at all when they were in the truck but after droping the driveshaft and trying to move them they were froze up.

They should only have play if they are REALLY bad, no play certainly doesn't mean there fine
