Default U joints

My 2000 4x4 extended cab with 120000 on it has excessive squeaking jn the u joints. A few weeks back took the truck through about 2.5 feet of water so they were in the water. Wondering if water may have gotten in them And need to replace them or any ideas to help the squeaking to stop. Thanks

First see if you happen to have zirk fittings on them. If you do, shoot some grease in there. If not, probably not a bad idea to replace them. How you made it to 120K miles on stock joints, I have no clue. I went through a set at 67K miles, and again at 102K...on the V6.

Which to me is amazing because my first set only made it to 67K, the ones after that only made it to 102K. Maybe I should stop taking my 2WD over the river and through the woods...but that wouldn't be any fun.
