Has anybody used the Turtle wax headlight restoration kit???

My buddy used it on his moms pt cruser and it work great. I highly recommend this kit especially for the cost of it.

No. I've used Maguiars with the buffing wheel and paste, which did not work well for really cloudy lenses. Then I used 3M, which uses a combination of sand paper and paste. That worked very well, but is a lot of work. I think you go with 500, then 1000, then wet 1200, then paste.

I've also heard good things about a kit that uses 600 grit paper and then a clear coat of some type. That is how body shops are doing it, but with real automotive clear.

I used the Turtle Wax kit but didn't have any luck until I used the 3M kit made for use with
an electric drill. 3M has 2 types of kits, one by hand and the other with the drill.

If you wet sand em with 600 and clear coat them u will be amazed lol it works great I have done many headlights this is a driver side lift done verses the passenger side light not

I have heard that those "kits" don't last. I heard it looks nice for a couple weeks then they go cloudy again. I just bought a new pair on ebay. $86.00 shipped.

You clear coat it and it will last for a long time if you do it right.

Spray 10% deet(bug spray) on it...It's a southern secret, ssh, don't tell those yankee's.

I just hit it with some turtle rubbing compound then polishing compound and they came out a lot nicer then they were, got rid of most of the foggyness and all the yellow color

I went ahead and bought it for 10 bucks at $general and it came out alright they really wasn't too bad just wanted them too look a lil brighter
