Default tune up time

Need to do a tune up on my 01' w/ the 5.4 and was wondering if i should do it myself or take it to someone. Im a pretty good mechanic so i think i could do it myself. Also if yall know of any schematics for the job that would be awesome. Thanks

Spend 100-150$ and do it yourself
Change oil
Tranny fluid
Diff fluids
Clean air filter and Maf sensor
Change plugs and cops if it's time
Inflate tires
Clean and detail truck
Drive around town enjoying a smoother running and cleaner truck.
In that order and can all be done in a day or so.

I agree, do the tune up yourself. Last i heard, shops around here arw charging ridiculous money for tune ups. My neighbor took his Cavalier to a shop and they charged him over $300 for a tune up. They als just him for $1500 for an AC compressor and water pump on the same car.

My truck has 65K miles on it so i'm guessing these are the original plugs.. If I follow the instructions I should be good to go... That's what I hoping for right now.... Bout to run the Chevron through it now...

I'd add clean throttle body, new PCV valve, front O2 sensors, power steering fluid change, brake fluid change, and coolant flush (if it is time) to the list also. Maybe even add cleaning the EGR valve and IAC if mileage is up there.
