Default Truck issues!!!!

Ok I have a couple of questions about my truck.
1. At low idle it sometimes has a whine.
2. Sometimes when I start it it will idle down and die.
3. Sometimes I will just be cruising down the road and the idle will start getting low but when I try to give it more power it don't help.
I don't know what it is but would the IAC cause this or would it be something else. I just got it back out of the truck from it not firing it would just turn over and it was a vacuum hose. The mechanic said my fuel pressure was ok but was getting a little weak but it was 35.
Would like some help on what I could try

Throttle position sensor sounds faulty. Same thing happened to my daughter's mustang, same symptoms.

At first, yes. What it is, is part of the sensor gets corroded and the engine will not read the position of the throttle and the ECM will adjust the fuel/spark out of ratio with the incoming air. Toward the end there, it didn't run worth a crap, died all the time, wouldn't idle, all sorts of problems. Replaced the TPS sensor and it works fine now. Good thing is, they aren't expensive or hard to replace. Even IF it's not the problem, it's a good idea to replace all of those old sensors anyway because they are just so cheap and easy to replace.

Might try that but my truck most of the time runs good it don't idle bad. Someone told me to replace fuel filter. All it really does is sometimes when I start it and it don't matter cold or hot it just idle it's self down until it dies. Sometimes it dies while driving but not often

Another good Idea, Also when you replace it, write on the side of it with a sharpie the date you replaced it on.

I would clean the IAC valve with something like B12 chemtool or carb cleaner first.
