The code was PO720 which is the speed sensor which I’ve already changed but this morning the temperature gauge shot up then went back down and also my battery light just started flashing on and off occasionally. Maybe a short? Thanks for all the help.

What is this and should it be making noise every time I cut the truck off?

It is the EGR Valve Control Solenoid. Yes, they do bleed off a little when you shut the truck off.

Find the thread here with pics on repairing the odometer. I did to my 04 heritage we got in July and it has worked great since. took about an hour to take apart and it is one spot on circuit board you have to reflow and add solder to. Good luck with the tranny! I found out previous owner rebuilt the one in our truck at 80k miles not sure what the deal was with that but hoping it will be good for as long as we have. it has 102k now.

I had similar problems with mine. It didnt want to shift or when it did it would shift through all the gears. I got the code of (Does not throw a check engine light)
==OBDII DTC P1747-P=== Code: P1747 - EPC Solenoid Short Circuit-

After looking at everything it seemed that the Transmission Wiring cluster had slipped between the Transmission dipstick tube and the Exhaust headers. Taped a wire or two and moved the cluster out of the way and zip tied a few things and it has ran fine since.
